Mario Flores is a first-generation Chicano from the Rio Grande Valley. He studied urban planning at Cornell University and attended graduate school at the University of Texas in Austin, where he received a Master’s in Community and Regional Planning. Mario worked in the city and regional planning field for five years. After spending a few years as a Senior Planner with the City of Dallas, he pursued his passion for justice by becoming a lawyer at the Texas Tech University School of Law.
Mario has been practicing law for 15 years, operating his solo law firm for the past 12 years. He specializes in general law and assists a wide range of clients, including large companies and Spanish speakers seeking legal guidance. Mario is actively involved in his community and has held positions such as Chairman of the Board of the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the American Cancer Society. Additionally, he has served as general counsel for the Austin Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals. Mario has received recognition for his legal expertise and was honored as a “Rising Star Attorney” among the Texas Super Lawyers. His dedication to helping the community is fueled by his love and support for his family, which includes his wife and two teenage boys.
