
Mario Flores is a first-generation Chicano from the Rio Grande Valley. He studied Urban Planning at Cornell University and attended graduate school at the University of Texas in Austin where he received a Masters in Community and Regional Planning. Mario worked in the city and regional planning field for 5 years. After spending a few years as a Senior Planner with the City of Dallas, he pursued his passion for justice by becoming a lawyer at the Texas Tech University School of Law.
He has been an attorney for 15 years and has been a solo practitioner for the last 12 years where he has a general law practice that helps everyone from large companies to Spanish speakers needing guidance. Mario loves being involved in his community and has served as Chairman of the Board of the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the American Cancer Society. He also served as general counsel for the Austin Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals. Mario‘s legal recognitions include being recognized as a “Rising Star Attorney” among the Texas Super Lawyers. Mario’s success and drive to help his community stems from his support of his beloved family comprising of his wife and two teenage boys.
