Texas Legal is a non-profit Texas-based group legal coverage organization. Texas Legal is the only plan created by the State Bar of Texas and the Texas State Legislature.

Our mission is to provide comprehensive, simple, affordable solutions with unmatched service to protect all Texans from the unexpected legal and financial risks of everyday life.

Texas Legal provides quality and affordable resources to help members resolve everyday legal matters. Our legal coverage services are marketed through Texas employer’s voluntary benefit channels, associations, groups, and other non-profit organizations.

Texas Legal members choose an attorney from the online Texas Legal Attorney Finder of Participating Attorneys. Texas Legal pays the attorney directly for covered matters.

Texas Legal operates as a member-driven nonprofit organization rather than as a for-profit company. Texas Legal gives members the freedom to choose the attorney they wish to work with. Texas Legal educates its members on the importance of legal protection, actively partakes in benefit and enrollment meetings and events and works diligently to become familiar with the entire membership. Finally, Texas Legal has the most comprehensive benefit coverage available. So when a legal matter does arise, members are not left with fine print, loop holes, randomly assigned attorneys, lengthy waiting periods or hidden fees.

Our board of directors is self-appointed.

Texas Legal is self-regulated as of September 1, 2019.

We operate exclusively on membership premiums.
