Here at Texas Legal, we’re proud to provide peace of mind in your legal life, but that’s not all: every membership includes free identity theft monitoring and restoration coverage through Experian IdentityWorks.

How Experian IdentityWorks Protects Your Identity and How To Sign Up

There are two layers to Experian IdentityWorks Credit Monitoring and Identity Protection. Here’s a short summary of each:

Credit Monitoring: Experian will monitor your credit file accounts for suspicious activity and alert you when it occurs. They also offer you a free credit report at any time, so you can see your current credit score and see the information listed. The service also features Lost Wallet Protection – help canceling and replacing your cards if your wallet is lost or stolen – as well as identity theft monitoring for your children. This service also provides  a $1 million identity theft insurance policy.

Credit Monitoring is free as part of your membership, but you have to enroll. If you are a member, please call the Texas Legal office with instructions on how to enroll (1-800-252-9346) or email members@texaslegal.org. Instructions will also be sent to you in June’s member email newsletter. 

Identity Theft Protection: If you become a victim of identity theft, a dedicated investigator from Experian will act as your guide and advocate from start to finish by initiating the dispute process, and help ensure that your identity returns to its pre-fraud state.

If you previously signed up with AllClearID, please note that we need you to sign up again with Experian. Experian recently purchased AllClearID, and due to confidentiality restrictions, they are unable to automatically transfer your information, so you must re-enroll. We apologize for this inconvenience, but we really want every member to take advantage of these free benefit that could save you hundreds or thousands of dollars and hours of frustration and hassle.
